Education, Training, and Certification of CNA
Education
To become a licensed or certified nursing assistant, you’ll need to complete our designated course credit hours, covering the basics of nursing instruction along with supervised clinical work. Certification is awarded once you successfully complete the exam.
Training
We arrange hands-on training under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, LPN, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Medical Doctor, Resident, or other supervisory staff designated by the healthcare facility.
Certification
After completing your CNA training period, you’ll sit for an exam offered through our accrediting body, AMCA
Duties and Responsibilities as a CNA Professional
The role of a Certified Nursing Assistant is very significant and in an integral part of any healthcare facility.As a CNA in a hospital setting, you will be able to acquire healthcare management skills and prepare for future careers in healthcare.The responsibilities of this position include:
- Communicating with patients, the healthcare team, and family members
- Helping patients with their daily activities
- Taking vital signs like pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
- Monitoring patients' physical and mental symptoms
- Administering medications or treatments
- Serving meals to help patients get the nutrition they need to recover
- Maintaining a clean, sanitized environment
- Facilitating overall patient care
- Providing physical support for lifting and moving patients
